How long should I plan for an eye exam?
Plan to arrive at your appointment about 10 minutes before your scheduled time and the appointment lasting about an hour.
What should I bring to an eye exam?
Be sure to bring your current insurance card(s), picture ID, list of medications and dosages. It is also helpful to bring your prescription glasses and sunglasses.
How often should I get an eye exam?
-Children should have their first vision exam before kindergarten.
-School age children should have an eye exams every year.
-Adults 20-60 years of age should have eye exams every 1-2 years.
-Adults aged 61 and over should have an eye exam every year.
-Contact lens wearers should get an eye exam every year to check for proper fit and wear.
What are some examples of eye conditions that I'll need to see an Optometrist for?
